Intro to Game Making course from Code Coven closes next week

Code Coven’s Intro to Game Making course, which provides applicants with an 8-week educational course on the development tools necessary to get started in the world of video game development, will close for applicants on Monday 7th of February.

What makes this course so unique is that it is exclusively available for individuals of marginalised genders, which includes trans/cis women, trans men, gender non-conforming people, as well as for those who are nonbinary. The reason for this is that these marginalised individuals are usually shut out from the games industry.

To apply for the Intro to Game Making Course, students will need to have at least 10 hours free each week in order to attend classes, as well as work by themselves independently. Students will also need a device that is able to install – and run – Unreal Version 4.27.2, as well as a reliable internet connection that will help you communicate with your fellow classmates and teachers through Zoom.

It also goes without saying that as long as you’re interested in learning how to develop games, you do not need to have prior experience to take part in this course. Oh, and did we mention that the course is also completely free? That’s right, no need to dip into your wallet in order to learn something new.

Remember, if you want to take part in the Intro to Game Making course, then sign up now in order not to miss out. Applications to the course will close next Monday, 7th February.
