Assassin’s Creed Crossover Stories unites legends Kassandra and Eivor
Never did we think that we’d be dusting off Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey so soon, but it looks like the new Assassin’s Creed Crossover Stories will require us to do just that if we want to find out more about this new, epic quest that unites legendary protagonists Kassandra and Eivor.
Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla came out back in 2020 and, even before it had a boatload of additional content added to it later on through expansions that transported players to Paris and Ireland, it was a pretty meaty game. Now it gets even bigger thanks to Crossover Stories, something which we can assume might be a thing that we’ll see again, even after the epic team-up of Kassandra and Eivor.
Kassandra in particular has been a fan-favourite since she first appeared in Odyssey, even in spite of Alexios being the protagonist most players picked between the two of them. Regardless, Kassandra is the ‘canonical’ sibling that eventually ends up being seen again, and it’s her who has this exclusive Crossover Story alongside Eivor. That’s right, Alexios won’t be around for the ride this time.
How Crossover Stories works is that Ubisoft will release two free DLC. One will be with Kassandra, titled Those Who Are Treasured. Being an immortal, Kassandra can afford to take a day off, but that comes to an end when old friends need her help and she takes on a quest to find an Isu treasure.
The other DLC is with Eivor, who players will be able to play regardless of whether they choose male or female. This DLC is titled A Fateful Encounter. Together these two iconic protagonists will come to blows and then work together in order to stop a great evil and find an artefact like no other.
Assassin’s Creed Crossover Stories will be available on PS4 and PS5 on December 14.
