Read Only Memories: NEURODIVER is coming to PC and console in 2022
Read Only Memories: NEURODIVER is coming to PC and console in 2022 for PS5 and Xbox Series X/S. The game, a sequel to 2064: Read Only Memories, will be released at the same time as the previously announced platforms – Xbox One, PS4, and Steam for PC and Mac versions.
Read Only Memories: NEURODIVER has the player take on the role of ES88, a telepath employed by an organization called MINERVA due to their expertise in neurotechnology and extrasensory projection phenomena. ES88 is armed with a Neurodiver – a device that allows them to dive into other people’s memories – but it comes at a cost; they have zero memories of their own.
ES88 is tasked with tracking down the Golden Butterfly, an individual who is a naturally gifted psychic on the loose and wreaking havoc through the subconscious minds of Neo-San Francisco, by using the Neurodiver to search the memories in which it hides. It sounds like a tough case, but ES88 is tougher.
Read Only Memories: NEURODIVER is being developed by MidBoss, who has partnered up with publisher Chorus Worldwide to bring this stunning sequel to life.
Players of the previous game will also be pleased to know that they may just spot some familiar faces, too. It’s been a while, but we wonder what our old friends Jess Meas, the gene-spliced, hybrid lawyer, TOMCAT, the notorious hacker, and Lexi Rivers, former police officer turned private eye, are up to?
And if that doesn’t quite interest you, or you’re a new player, then don’t worry… There’s a lot to like about this sequel even if you haven’t played the original; such as even more anime than before, as well as a retro-inspired FM music by Scarlet Moon artist, coda.
MidBoss’ CEO, Cade Peterson, has enthused about the support players have shown for the sequel so far. “Our passionate community is in love with Neo-San Francisco and we’re happy to give them a taste of what we are working on ahead of the console and PC releases later this year.”

Read Only Memories: NEURODIVER has the demo available to play on Steam, and will be fully playable on the PS4, PS5, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and PC when it releases in 2022.
