Rainbow Billy: The Curse of the Leviathan is out now on PC and console

In an adventure like no other, Rainbow Billy is looking to bring colour to a world without it with the power of empathy and friendship! If that sounds like something you’re into, then you’ll be happy to know that you can get your hands on Rainbow Billy: The Curse of the Leviathan right now!

Featuring a non-binary protagonist with they/them pronouns, the wholesome and accessibly 2.5D adventure platformer Rainbow Billy: The Curse of Leviathan instructs you to fill the world with colour. As Billy, players will explore and navigate through the World of Imagination, using the power of empathy and acceptance to make friends and stop any enemies they meet.

The reason why Billy must go on this journey in the first place is that the evil Leviathan decided that it’d be real nice to just banish colour and joy from the World of Imagination. Not only does it leave the world looking miserable, but its inhabitants also end up taking a hit to their mental health. With this in mind, it’s up to Billy to take on the Leviathan and restore the world to what it was before.

But Billy won’t be able to do this alone. Armed with empathy, a talking fishing rod named Rodrigo, and their trusty boat Friend-Ship, Billy must restore the World of Imagination and free its good-hearted creatures from living in a black and white world.

With Billy partaking on such a sacred quest, they’ll have to explore. Thankfully, there are a lot of different islands for players to visit in the World of Imagination. You’ve got the peninsula of Dinoland which yes, is filled with Dinosaurs, then there are the frosty peaks of Frightfrost Mountain, the scary and haunted depths of Sunken Harbor and, if you’re still not satisfied, there’s also the mysterious golden temple of the Sanctum of Self. Because what’s more exciting than discovering yourself?

This game isn’t just a platformer either but will incorporate other elements from the RPG genre to keep things exciting. And, if that wasn’t enough to make you consider grabbing this game at release, there’s also a certain mini-game that’ll be sure to interest most players: fishing! Because who doesn’t love a good fishing mini-game?

You can grab Rainbow Billy: The Curse of the Leviathan for PC over on Steam, as well as the PS4, Xbox One and the Nintendo Switch.
