Chaotic bisexual game Hades releases on Xbox, PS4, and PS5 today

Hades not only won the main prize in last year’s Gayming Awards, but it also snatched up our hearts pretty damn easily too. Now console players with an Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, or a PS5 can take up the mantle of trying to fight out of hell and give Hades the ass-kicking he deserves.

For those who haven’t yet played the game, let me set the scene: you play as Zagreus, one of Hades many children, and overall adonis whose main goal is getting out of hell and seeing the outside world. Of course, it isn’t as easy as doing just that, leaving hell…Well, that’s just not allowed.

However, that doesn’t stop Zagreus and you, the player, will need to guide him throughout the layers of hell to reach the surface all the while fighting the denizens and bosses that are trying to stop you.

Being a roguelike game, the first few tries aren’t going to be easy but with each new run, you’ll become even more powerful with cool abilities, trinkets, and more to help you improve and grow stronger. The one downside is no cosmetics, but that’s probably because some of us would like to see a shirtless Zagreus… Oh, to be catered to by Supergiant Games…

Speaking of being catered to, one of the reasons why Hades is so meaningful to the queer community is that it actually put a bisexual, male protagonist as its lead. It didn’t make Megaera the only love interest for our favourite hunk, but pretty much conveyed that Zagreus is a polyamorous, bisexual dude who has enough love in his heart for everyone. Strange considering his the son of Hades, but we’re not going to judge him for that!

Hades is now available to play on Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, and PS5. So don’t hesitate, grab life by the Minotaur horns and get slashing!
