Hawkeye is cuter and available to play in Marvel’s Avengers

No offense to two-time Oscar Nominee Jeremy Renner. His acting skills and charismatic personality are not in question here. It’s just that, well, he’s not as attractive to me as Chris Hemsworth and Chris Evans. Luckily, my personal preference in men’s looks is all but set aside now that Hawkeye – real name Clint Barton – has officially debuted in Marvel’s Avengers.

Crystal Dynamics and Square Enix’s struggling action role-playing game originally featured Ms. Marvel, The Incredible Hulk, Iron Man, Black Widow, Thor and Captain America in an adventure that saw Earth’s mightiest heroes take on a faction of robotic opponents known as A.I.M units. After months of delays, Kate Bishop – the female counterpart of Hawkeye – was added to the video game.

As of today, Clint Barton’s Hawkeye has joined the fray as the future is in desperate need of saving thanks to tachyon storms. Armed with his signature colors, arrows and kick-ass abilities, Hawkeye both present and future unite to save dimensions before they collide. His story also runs in conjunction with Kate Bishop’s previous expansion, ‘Taking Aim.’

While I’ve only unlocked two of Hawkeye’s outfits, I have to say the character model for the superhero is much more easy on the eyes. I appreciate his semi-injured, jeans and t-shirt look that he comes with during the start of his DLC. Unfortunately, and unlike Captain America, Hawkeye’s outfits don’t come with several shirtless variants. Still, I will take video game eye-candy wherever I can get it.

Marvel’s Avengers was released in September 2020 on PS4 and Xbox One. As of today, it’s also available on PS5 and Xbox Series X with better graphics and load-times. Rumor has it Spider Man and Black Panther will join cutie patootie Hawkeye in the coming months.
