Druid Class Incoming in Baldur’s Gate 3 Patch 4
Yesterday in Larian Studio’s second Panel From Hell, it was announced that one of the most sought-after classes, the Druid, would be coming to Baldur’s Gate 3 early access.
The Druid class is one of the most versatile classes in Dungeons and Dragons, combining the sheer, raw power of the Wizard and the healing prowess of the Cleric. More importantly, it lets you become one with nature and transform into many of the wonderful – and dangerous – creatures you may come across in Baldur’s Gate 3.
Along with being able to transform into 8 different creatures – with one being a complete surprise that we won’t mention here – the Druid class will have access to over 30 spells and will get the option of new dialogue and voiceovers. Just so that Druids get the same, narrative experience as other classes in Baldur’s Gate 3.
As for the wild transformation shapes, here is the full list of what you can turn into, so far:
- Polar Bear
- Deep Rothe
- Cat
- Raven
- Dire Wolf
- Badger
- Spider
- Aberrant
Fans of Dungeons and Dragons will know that Druids traditionally come from Circles, communities that are all unique from one another which is often conveyed by their wild shape transformations. For this game, players will have access to Circle of the Land and Circle of the Moon, which do have some different Wild Shape transformations.
The Druid class isn’t the only thing coming to Baldur’s Gate 3, however. Patch 4 will be the biggest update yet, and it’ll include better cinematics, better lighting, and some major quality of life fixes for the UI and HUD.
