The Last of Us Part 2 and Hades Lead the Game of The Year Nominees
It’s strangely comforting to know that even with how disastrous 2020 has been, Geoff Keighley and The Game Awards are still going to be around to make us lose our minds come December. Especially when it comes to the Game of the Year nominees.
This year the Game of the Year nominees are all looking pretty close. The Last of Us Part 2 or Hades would be an amazing win for us gaymers, but we can’t deny that there has been some amazing games come out this year and that, whoever wins, it’ll be well-earned.
Here are the full Game of the Year nominees, below:
- The Last of Us Part 2 – Naughty Dog/SIE
- Final Fantasy VII Remake – Square Enix
- Ghost of Tsushima – Sucker Punch/SIE
- Hades – Supergiant Games
- DOOM Eternal – id Software/Bethesda
- Animal Crossing: New Horizons – Nintendo
The Game Awards will be livestreamed on December 10th and will be available across more than 45 global video platforms. Following the nomination announcement, fans will be able to help choose the winners in all categories via authenticated online voting on www.thegameawards.com. In China, fans can vote for their favorites on Bilibili.
