Vengeance is sweet in queer graphic novel, Glitter Vipers

With Pride Month nearly over, it’s time to be honest with ourselves: Pride used to be more than just celebrating and partying. It was about fighting for our rights to exist in a world that feels as though we shouldn’t. It’s this sort of fury and desire for equality, that sets the tone for queer graphic novel, Glitter Vipers.

Created by Joe Glass, the creator of The Pride, Glitter Vipers is based in Manchester and follows the story of drag queen Bi Phallicia and her friends, who find themselves the victims of a hate crime. Being part of the LGBT+ community in some way or another, we, unfortunately, have all experienced some sort of hatred for simply being who we are. Because of this, reading about a hate crime may not be what you consider ‘good reading’, but Glitter Vipers doesn’t just let that crime go unanswered. After all, vengeance is sweet.

Currently the graphic novel is just over 70% funded on Kickstarter, but with 24 days still to go, Glass and co are asking for your help to make this queer revenge story transform into a done deal. They are offering both digital and print copies, as well as stickers if you give them a pledge. Of course, if you just want to support the project, even a single pound can go a long way.

If you’re interested in supporting Glass, their team and Glitter Vipers, head on over to Kickstarter and show your support.
