Valorant fully launches on June 2nd
Valorant, Riot Games’ answer to Blizzard’s Overwatch, is a FPS that officially hit beta back in April. It’s been widely regarded by a number of gamers out there, and already has a solid following if the numbers on Twitch are anything to go by. With this sort of reception, the full launch of Valorant on June 2nd looks to be a positive one.
This announcement comes from Geoff Keighley’s talk with Valorant’s Executive Producer, Anna Donlon, and Game Director, Joe Ziegler for the Summer Games Fest. An event where new games and announcements are released over 4 whole months. If you’re interested in watching Keighley’s interview with Donlon and Ziegler, you can watch the full video for yourself over at Keighley’s Twitter, as well as on YouTube.
With Valorant’s official launch being June 2nd, it was announced that players who had made progress in the beta would have that data wiped. So as not to give them an unfair advantage, of course. Well, if you don’t count already knowing how to play the game off by heart an unfair advantage.
A new map, character and more new content will also be available at launch. So that just leaves us with one question: will you be booting up Valorant on June 2nd?
