Experience the adventure of a lifetime with The Gorgon’s Loch
There’s always room for adventure when it comes to tabletop games, and The Gorgon’s Loch is no exception to this rule. Created by the gaming division of Fantastic Books Publishing, Fantastic Books Gaming, The Gorgon’s Loch is a fantasy, turn-based adventure for up to 5 players.
It doesn’t matter if you’re 7 or 77, Fantastic Books Gaming is convinced that this game is suited for you. The basic premise of this game is that the Gorgon Queen has captured yours, and your fellow party members, souls. She intends to use these souls as her playthings within her enchanted dungeon, the Gorgon’s Loch.
You’ll have to defeat the Gorgon Queen to get out of the dungeon alive. Collect your potions, your magical scrolls, weapons and armour and so much more: it’s the only way you’re getting out of this alive.
There is a catch, however. The Gorgon’s Loch is currently trying to fund its existence on Kickstarter. Thankfully, it’s already got quite the backing with over 3k raised, but with how much it’s offering — alternative expansion packs, community activities, and the chance to create your own stories — we think that’s more than enough to throw our own support in.
In it’s Kickstarter, Fantastic Books Gaming spoke about how it perceives this game as a “gateway” to the world of tabletop. You can incorporate a lot of what makes tabletop special into it too, including roleplaying. Meaning yes, if you want to, your dwarf can give a little kiss to the elf.
There’s even single-player mode, where the game plays very differently. As the Kickstarter describes, “the group that plays as a cohesive group faces a very different campaign from the group where each player looks out only for him or herself.”
