What’s New with Gayming Magazine 2020
Happy New Year gaymers! We’re pleased to say that we’re starting this new year with a bang and letting you know what we’re planning to do with the website and just what’s around the corner for Gayming Magazine 2020.
We’ve already smashed a lot of our goals back in 2019, but we’re bringing out all our best and biggest ideas for 2020 and we’re excited to share with you what those ideas are.
As you know, our community means everything to us and we love the support we’ve received ever since we started last year. Because of this, we’ve decided to share what new series of articles we’ve got planned.
Monday: Gayme of the Week
Gayme of the week is exactly what it says on the tin, but we don’t necessarily mean just your average triple A game. We’re talking about gay games, games which don’t get the credit or attention or they deserve because they aren’t the next big thing like Cyberpunk 2077 or The Last of Us.
We want to celebrate these games and give them the platform they deserve. Each week we’ll be talking about a different game, so if that’s of any interest to you then we’d recommend checking us out for more gaymes that you can’t find out about almost anywhere else.
Tuesday: Cosplayer of the Week
We’ve noticed that you like it when we show off our favourite cosplayers – so we want to do more of that. However, we’re trying to make our cosplay section more diverse and not focus just on white, cis men. They, of course, will be included too, but we want to make Gayming Magazine welcome for everyone.
It doesn’t matter if you have less than a hundred followers or one thousand, we’re more than happy to include you in this new column.
Wednesday: Merch of the Week
We know that Christmas has just gone, but that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t treat yourself every now and then. Thankfully, video games have a ton of merchandise.
It’s with this new column that we’ll show off some of the best for you to buy. But don’t worry, even if you don’t find anything you like one week, we’re certain they’ll be something for you the week after.
Thursday: LGBT Games History Series
You’d be surprised at how many games out there has some LGBT representation in them. It may not be the best representation, ever, but even the messier side of video game LGBT history should be something our audience knows more about.
With this series, we’ll delve into some of the lesser-known games that have included LGBT representation in there, what we think of them and if they are still accessible today.
Friday: That’s Underrated!
Fandom is a huge staple in the video games industry. No matter what game it is, we’re almost certain that someone has wrote fanfiction about it or at least dedicated themselves to a blog about it.
For this series, we’re going to be focusing on the relationship between video game characters, as well as the fans that support them. This series is meant to be a funny, but light-hearted way to examine the fictional relationships we love and why we love them.
