Merch of the Week: Video game stamps from the Royal Mail
Before we talk about video game stamps, we just want to say that video game merchandise is the best, and that’s just a fact we should just get used to. What other pieces of media will allow you to collect power armour helmets and strap it on your head 24/7? We rest our case.
Jokes aside, merch has been getting better lately, but not necessarily bigger. That’s not a criticism, because our merch of the week for Gayming Magazine is, in fact, a variety of video game stamps.
You’re not allowed to scoff, because ‘collecting stamps is so uncool’ because that’s wrong and you should feel bad.
These video game stamps come from the Royal Mail, where British video games are being celebrated. Because of that you’ll see that the 8 video games included in this series are Dizzy, Worms, WipEout, Lemmings, Micro Machines, Elite, and Sensible Soccer. Tomb Raider is also being included, because uh, who doesn’t love Tomb Raider?
The stamps go on sale on January 21st, but for those of you out there who are avid collectors, you are able to pre-order the stamps right now at the Royal Mail’s official store.
