Apex Legends Voidwalker event focuses on Wraith
The new Apex Legends Voidwalker event starts tomorrow, and it’s looking to be one to remember for players out there who are a fan of the mysterious Wraith.
Who Wraith is, and why she has the abilities she does has been a question that has yet to be answered by the team at Respawn, but Voidwalker seems to have some answers to give out.
The event officially starts on September 3rd, aka tomorrow, with players getting the chance to explore new additions added to the map, King’s Canyon. This includes a new facility called Project: Wraith, as well as new portal that you can jump through to sky-dive once more, which is particularly helpful if you want to reposition yourself or even escape from the enemy.
As you can see, players will also be able to unlock a new Wraith skin during the event. It doesn’t tell us a lot so far, but Wraith’s appearance does give us a few ideas on what she could have been like in the past. However, until the event starts this is all speculation.
But outside of skins and the potential chance of lore, there will also be a new mode called ‘Armed and Dangerous’. In this mode, you’ll have to run and gun using only two types of weapons: shotguns and sniper rifles. If you’re a person who enjoys weapons that rely on speed to do damage, or even medium-range combat to prosper, this event will be your worst nightmare.
With criticism being directed at Respawn for not including more story about their characters, we hope that this event will be a step in the right direction.
