Adventuring with Pride: a new LGBT Dungeons and Dragons supplement
There’s a lot to love when it comes to tabletop role-playing. Some use it for epic adventures, whilst others use it for that, as well as a way to explore themselves in a way that may not be possible in real life. However, what if there was an LGBT Dungeons and Dragons supplement to help you explore it in a world steeped in queer culture?
Step in Adventuring with Pride, an LGBT fifth edition Dungeons and Dragons supplement created by Jack Dixon and Alex Dixon, as well as artists Abbigayle Bircham, and Katerina Gorinskaia.
Included in this supplement are: three one-shot adventures, three pre-made characters/a ton of NPCs, and more than a dozen unique items for you to use!
Adventuring with Pride was also funded it’s full £1000 on Kickstarter in 48 hours, so it’s safe to assume that LGBT supplements like this something that has been desperately sought for by queer tabletop players. It also helps that the supplement looks so damn good.
One of the characters that has managed to catch our eyes (and our hearts) is Vicki Mockery. They are described as “a fierce drag queen with a sharp wit and an even sharper axe.” Because why not? After all, drag queens in Dungeons and Dragons is something that we need more of.
Vicki’s name also used to be Phanny Delver, so now we have no choice but to try and seduce them when we play.
But that’s not all, there are a number of locations such as ‘The Enchanted Wood’, as well as weapons (who wants a Whip of Domination?) for you to get your hands on. And even if the game has already been fully funded, you can still pledge to help Adventuring with Pride meet their other goals.
To pledge, check out their Kickstarter and let them know what you think of Adventuring with Pride!
