Food-focused roguelike Cuisineer comes to PC summer 2023
On Thursday Marvelous Europe and XSEED Games (the publishers behind Story of Seasons: A Wonderful Life) announced that they will be publishing BattleBrew’s food-focused action roguelike Cuisineer, and that the game is coming to PC sometime this summer.
“We’ve been cooking up Pom’s adventure by ourselves for a while, but we’re excited to have found supportive partners in XSEED Games and Marvelous Europe who feel as passionately about the game as we do and we can’t wait to be able to serve up Cuisineer to players around the world later this year!” said Shawn Toh, Co-Founder & CEO at BattleBrew Productions.
Cuisineer follows cat-girl and avid adventurer Pom after she receives a concerning letter from her parents asking to see her one last time. When she returns home to the town of Paell, she finds that her parents are missing and their family restaurant abandoned. Pom decides to take over the restaurant to keep it from falling to shambles. To do so, she must go through several local dungeons to gather the ingredients she needs to whip up dishes in the restaurant. Master the powers of Salty, Sour, Sweet, Bitter, Umami, Frosty, and Toasty to knock out the opposition with various effects and get new equipment to better cook and take on monsters. You will also upgrade the restaurant thanks to local artisans, but make sure to stay on your toes for the lunch rush.
“We are committed to supporting talented indie studios worldwide as we continue to publish unique and engaging titles,” added Marc Melton, Marvelous Europe Managing Director. “The BattleBrew Productions team is incredibly talented, and we are delighted to work with them to bring Cuisineer into our growing roster of games.”
The game currently doesn’t have a set release date, but according to the publishers it will be launching sometime over summer 2023. More details about the release should be coming in the next few months.
