We Are OFK set to brighten our lives in 2022
We Are OFK is an episodic, musical adventure that follows a group of four in their 20s as they try to break into the music business that we’ll be able to get our hands on in 2022.
The reveal of We Are OFK’s release date was shown during PlayStation’s State of Play last night. The show revealed that their would be 5 episodes of the animated, interactive series, highlighting the group’s joys and struggles, such as falling in love, heartbreak and figuring out how to pay rent in the expensive city of Los Angeles. Sounds tough!
Alongside the game releasing, the band will release their debut pop EP. Fans already heard one of OFK’s singles (Follow/Unfollow) performed during The Game Awards last year, and since then it’s already become a huge hit with half a million listens. Even more exciting is that the band has signed with record label Sony Music Masterworks for their first pop EP.
If you like music, you’ll be pleased to know that this game features music videos that are completely interactive – meaning you’ll not only be playing the game, but directing a music video that suits you. Whether it’s a love song, a sad song, or something upbeat, you’ll be the one in control of what’s happening.
The band that makes up OFK is made up of an all-star cast, led by Ally Maki (Toy Story 4, Dear White People) as the authentic, kind, yet chaotic Itsumi Saitō on keyboard, Syhaya Aviel (The Circle, Vinyl) as the knowing and cool Carter Flores who provides visuals for the band, Fiona Rene (I Know What You Did Last Summer, ABC’s Stumptown) as the powerful music wizard Jey Zhang who is OFK’s producer, and last but not least, We Are OFK’s Creative Director Teddy Dief as the romantic eccentric Luca Le Fae, the band’s vocalist.
With such a star-studded cast, expect the drama of thirsty texts, memes, music, art and so much more to be an experience you’ll never forget!
We Are OFK will be available to play in 2022 on the PS4, PS5, and PC.
