Untitled Goose modded into Resident Evil 2 and it looks honking good fun
An Untitled Goose mod was going to happen eventually. That’s what I told myself when, after a few hours of staring at my screen, numbly letting time pass me by, I came upon a mod that made me sit up that little bit straighter. My heart jumped in my throat, and I found myself struggling to breathe.
An Untitled Goose mod was indeed found, and it’s all thanks to Destructoid that I know that this mod in particular was created with Resident Evil 2 in mind. Yes, I am of course talking about the Untitled Goose mod that has recently ensnared the hearts of everyone online.
I mean, that’s totally fair. As I spoke about recently, Untitled Goose Game is the best game for assholes and who is a bigger asshole in Resident Evil 2 than Mr X? C’mon, he wears a fedora for god’s sake.
The Goose has appeared in many other video games thanks to the use of fan-art and extreme dedication of fans. So, it makes sense that Resident Evil modder xZombieAlix would see this passion and include it in yet another mod for the horror game.
In the tweet that included the Untitled Goose for the very first time, we see Claire step back and a huge, white goose with a fedora on its head, grab hold of the wreckage and pull it away.
“Jesus,” Claire says, watching as the Goose waddles closer “stay back!” Which, if we’re all being honest with one another, is the exact thing anyone should say if they see a giant goose with a fedora making their way towards them.
xZombieAlix is also known for the legendary Thomas the Tank Engine mod, which has both Leon and Claire running for their lives while Thomas hoots ominously in the background. So, to say that this Goose mod was made by a genius is not underselling it at all.
But what will come next? Goose for Smash? Only time will tell.
