Conan Chop Chop Delayed Until Q1 2020
But will we be able to level him up or not?!
Monday it was announced that the hack-and-slash action game styled after Conan the Barbarian, Conan Chop Chop, has been delayed to a later date. Originally, the game was supposed to release on 3 September 2019, but now excited would-be players will have to wait until an undetermined date in the first quarter of 2020. Bummer!
Mighty Kingdom CEO Philip Mayes told Gematsu.com that the delay is thanks to creating multiplayer functionality. He said, “One of the things we get to do with the extra time is expand multiplayer from just couch co-op to also include full online multiplayer. This has undoubtedly been the most requested feature after we started showing off the game, so we’re very excited for the opportunity to bring that in.”
An April Fool’s Day joke gone right, Conan Chop Chop is being developed by Mighty Kingdom with publisher Funcom Platforms. In the game, the sinister wizard Thoth-Amon has formulated a plan to resurrect the evil Xaltotun. If this plan succeeds, it will plunge the world into an eternity of darkness. Only you, as Conan, can stop him. Summon all your courage and swordsmanship to save the planet from complete enslavement.
Conan Chop Chop will have a lot of great features including a mode that lets you die while simultaneously unlocking new weapons. Other features will include dozens of side quests; tons of gore and outlandish material; a 3D experience that lets you explore every Conan-like land; a wide variety of weapons and legendary items; multiple combos and upgrades; original and new bosses to face; and replay activities that will keep your attention – all with stick figure goodness.
Gaymers can look for Conan Chop Chop on Steam, XBox One, PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch in early 2020.
Conan The Barbarian was directed by John Millius and saw release in 1982. One of Arnold Schwarzenegger’s most iconic roles, the movie debuted at #1 in theaters and was a huge success for Universal Studios.
